With abs of steel, this former Port Macquarie resident and mother has finished 29th in the world in what some would say the most physically demanding of sports.
Amanda Schwartz qualified third in her region out of 210, 000 participants to compete in the Reebok Crossfit Games held in Carson California.
Schwartz finished an amazing 29 out of the 45 women who competed.
She grew up in Port Macquarie and was always a keen sportsman having represented soccer, softball, volleyball and touch football at state levels.
It was her sporting prowess that saw her make the move to the US at the age of 19 after receiving a soccer scholarship.
Schwartz has since married and started a family.
The fitness fanatic took up the sport of Crossfit four years ago after the birth of her son.
She said she made the step into the growing sport because it involved every form of physical fitness.
"I was already working as a personal trainer and I began Crossfit out of curiosity," she said.
"I loved it as I was immediately challenged by it's difficulty and seemingly limitless movement to master.
"I loved feeling like an athlete again and the ability to compete against others.
"I became a level one certified coach and also began coaching classes around that time."
What makes Schwartz' result all the more amazing is her ability to balance everyday life with her training regime.
"Unlike some competitors I don't train full time," she said.
"I am a mum too, with a child not yet in school, I work, and I also have a small business, so training for me can be a challenge and is sometimes a struggle.
"During the majority of the year that means one workout a day which usually takes approximately 1.5 hours."
This Wonder Woman's hectic schedule means lonely early mornings or late night training just to keep pace with other Crossfit athletes.
"During training I try to add a few extra sessions," she said.
"That can mean I'm either in the gym at 5am or at times I may have to get some work done late in the evening.
"I do what I can, when I can.
"It's a sacrifice at times and there are plenty of times I may not feel like training but I do it because I love it and I keep my goals in focus thanks to some great people around me.
"Because of my schedule I am usually training alone as well, which is a whole other difficulty."
