Shaun Tarrant has taken a trip to the United Kingdom with his partner, meaning the Dolphins are down another star.
His departure comes on the back of the Dolphins losing captain Heath Morgan and Mo Williams this year.
"I don't Shaun thought he was going to be as big a part of what we're doing," Dolphins coach Mark Champion said.
It's another setback for the Port team who have been forced to adjust to injuries and unavailability all season.
Champion said Port was in with a good chance of beating the Waves. The two have battled twice this season, and had one victory each.
On both occasions, the home side has been victorious.
"We had the away trip in that tough little period of back-to-back weekends," Champion said.
"We should be able to get them at home, but it's going to be tight. They've got a lot better since the start of the season. It will be interesting."
Youngsters Nick Jones and Cam Chick will be on the boards tomorrow.
"They had good games last time they played," Champion said. We'll keep on trying to get them incorporated into what we do."
Tomorrow's match tips off at 6pm at Port Macquarie Sports Stadium.
