Riley Paige has received news she is one of 3600 performers to take part in the 31st annual Schools Spectacular in Sydney in November.
Riley is among 33 select students chosen from public schools across New South Wales to lead the cast at the annual entertainment extravaganza.
The theme for this year's Schools Spectacular is This is Australia, which will pay tribute to the diversity that Australia offers.
The 11-year-old year 6 student who is not shy of stage performance, says her selection in the Schools Spectacular cast is a dream come true.
"It is a bit exciting. We had auditions and went through about five different processes and then I found out I had been selected," Riley said.
"We won't know what we're singing until I get down there."
Rehearsals for this year's stage spectacular get underway at the end of September.
Riley is an accomplished performer taking out numerous titles at the Taree, Port Macquarie and Sydney eisteddfods. She also leads the way in the school choir and her friends are among her biggest fans.
A student of Centre Stage Theatre Company, Riley says she hopes to pursue a career in singing. She took out the locally hosted Port's Got Talented two years ago and is open to the possibility of auditioning for any one of the popular TV shows for up and coming young performers.
She has recorded 20 of her favourite songs for her own YouTube account, RileyPaigeMusic, which has already recorded more than 160,000 views from across the globe.
