Our page two story on Friday about the young rugby league player injured in Port Macquarie recently – Curtis Landers – is a reminder that we need to always count our own blessings and keep those fighting battles in our thoughts. 

An appeal to wear mufti to work and donate to the Curtis Landers’ cause next Wednesday – on Origin game two day – is a chance to embrace the family’s plight and help a battler in need.

This issue is still taking a toll on many good young children and mates of Curtis’ who played footy on that day.
