Cole picked up his second straight Arthur Hollis Medal for the first grade player of the year at the presentation night on Saturday.
He also won the rep player of the year award.
The Port City Leagues Magpie was involved in a Club Championship win along with triumphs in the Beechwood Sevens pre-season tournament and May Kelly Cup Twenty20 competition.
His Arthur Hollis medal win last year came on the back of Cole almost quitting the season, and he wanted to prove it wasn't a fluke in 2013-14.
"Backing it up was the main thing," he said.
Cole has what he described as "not the most conventional style", with a penchant for swinging hard and across the line.
"But it works," he said.
His memorable moment of the season was belting 75 from just 25 deliveries at Andrews Park, Wauchope.
That innings included 28 off the first over of the day from RSL's Andrew Murrell.
"I was seeing them alright that day," Cole said.
He had to hit out. Cole was forced to leave the game early to attend a wedding.
"As always, we were short of players, so I had to turn up at some stage," he said.
That's one of many stories Cole has from a great season.
Most are from on the field, but there were a couple of memorable off-field moments too.
"Keg [Port City captain Craig Grant] and his mid-week meetings after a couple of losses were good fun," Cole said.
"I'd tell the missus I'd be home in about an hour. We'd end up at Down Under at 3am and I'd realise that not a cricket word was spoken."
Cole has done plenty in his first year on the representative scene.
The Hastings First XI won a rep title by way of a washout final, and Cole took wickets and runs all year.
The highlight of the season was against Taree, when Cole scored 65 runs and took four wickets.
The washout of the big game at Laurieton was a downer, though.
"No-one wants to win by a washout," Cole said.
There's always next year, but for now, Cole will concentrate on the rugby league season. He plays for the Port City Breakers.
