Weatherzone's meteorologists have poked and prodded their data and charts, and they reckon there is no chance of rain arriving this weekend.
The high pressure ridge has been over the Mid-North Coast since Tuesday, Weatherzone's Guy Dixon said, and is expected to stick around until the middle of next week.
"Things should stay fairly stable up there until probably Wednesday," the meteorologist said. "The humidity should hover around 60 per cent, and the sun will be out pretty much constantly."
The balmy conditions will be boosted by temperatures in the mid-20s today, tomorrow and Sunday.
The coastal fringe from Newcastle to Queensland can look forward to the finest weather in the state this weekend, Mr Dixon said.
A weak front and trough will move across southern parts of the coast from Saturday, with places as far north as Sydney starting to feel a cool change.
But the continuing high pressure ridge off the Mid-North Coast means there is little chance of rain ruining best laid plans this weekend.
The ridge means air sinks towards the ground, Mr Dixon said, and sinking air makes it almost impossible to get rain.
"And the ridge is just going to keep building into next week," he said.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, 25 degrees, 58 per cent humidity.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, 24 degrees, 61 per cent humidity.
