Nominations for this year's Top Service Stars close on Wednesday, April 23, but there's still time to complete the online form at www.portnews.com.au/community or return a nomination form printed in the Port News.
To date, deserving nominees range from patient ballet instructors, inspirational foster carers, heavenly masseuse's, smiley servo attendants and hard working hire company owners to helpful taxi drivers, special needs nurses and ultra efficient bank clerks.
Among the scores of nominees are locals described as "an angel in disguise", "always bright and bubbly", "genuine and attentive", "warm and nurturing", "polite and enthusiastic" and "one in a million".
The new format of the Port News-hosted initiative has opened the door to all occupations and industries, encompassing everyone from baristas, school teachers, checkout operators and accountants to medical receptionists, boat mechanics and boutique owners.
The awards have proved you don't have to go far to find examples of great customer service across the Hastings, with the common theme being employees who willingly go "above and beyond the call of duty".
Now is the time to nominate those people for our Top Service Stars awards in 2014 (formerly Employee of the Year).
