SATURDAY 3pm: There are full tummies everywhere on Port Macquarie's Town Green as the Blues music program gets into full swing.
Anni Piper is rocking out her big bass guitar sounds as festival staff turn people away at the gate to the sell out event.
Black Duck Brewery can't keep the beverages up to the hot and thirsty crowds while food trucks continue to dish out some fine barbecued-inspired fare.
The fire pits and ovens have been turned off in the inaugural BBQ competition with judges now deliberating the winner after sampling more than 100 dishes since 9am this morning.
The winner will be announced after 4pm.
The music continues through until 9pm with Bob Log lll and Charlie A'Court expected to get the crowd on their feet.

The air is smoke-filled and heavy with the scent of deliciousness - Port Macquarie's CBD has never smelled so good.
The coals are hot and the grills are sizzling as Port Macquarie gears up for the first Blues and BBQ Festival which will launch into full swing from 9am Saturday on the Town Green.
Twenty teams from all corners of the nation have converged on the region to have a crack at the best barbecue title.
Jess Pryles, aka BurgerMary, is the fresh Southern face of the event which aims to bring a little bit of the Amercian low and slow cook barbecue culture to Aussie shores.
"This is a real first for Australia and the first barbecue event of this calibre to be held here," BurgerMary said as she inspected each team's preparation on Friday.
"I am so impressed with how this has come together and it will be this event that will shape the future of barbecue culture in this country."
The Blues and BBQ Festival will be free to the public from 9am Saturday and incorporate the Foreshore Markets, live entertainment and food trucks along Town Green.
From 2pm to 9pm, it will be fun for the grown-ups when the blues music program gets into full swing. Headlining the entertainment will be Bob Log III, Charlie A'Court and Mar Haze. Tickets to this licensed event are $25.
