Port Macquarie Fire Station Commander Geoff Peacock said a park resident made a triple-0 call alerting emergency services of the fire at about 4.50am Sunday.
A swift response by two crews with 12 firies saw the blaze at the Gore Street property extinguished quickly with no other properties on the site, other than an amenities block, damaged.
"The caravan's aluminium annexe was fully alight when we got there," Station Commander Peacock said.
"It has been totally destroyed while the amenities block next to it had some damage to the external walls."
Station Commander Peacock said the van was not occupied at the time and residents of the property did not have to be evacuated.
Crime scene police and detectives attended and investigations will continue to determine the cause of the fire.
