KYLEE-Ann Schaffer’s family and friends have been living a nightmare for almost eight years.
As part of National Missing Persons Week, which starts on Sunday, police are renewing calls for information about the disappearance of Ms Schaffer from the Willawarrin area, about 30km north-west of Kempsey in 2004.
Ms Schaffer, 19, was last seen at about 8am on September 11, 2004 at Willawarrin.
She reportedly told friends after breakfast on the day she was going for a walk through bushland near the property on which she was staying at the time.
Ms Schaffer’s friends thought she might have walked home when she failed to return by lunch time.
The following day, a Sunday, the woman was still missing.
She would now be 26 years of age.
Her disappearance is being investigated by Mid-North Coast detectives. Anyone who can assist should phone 1800 333 000.
