Chief and Gidley in Kendall

THE Kids and the kids at heart had a great time with some of Newcastle Knights’ finest ever footballing talent at the weekend when Kurt Gidley and Paul Harragon visited.

Kendall Showground played host to a family fun day and on arrival, the kids jumped all over Gidley as soon as he got out of the car.

“Easy, I only got out of a cast two days ago,” he pleaded.”

The ?Kendall Blues played out a tough 12-all draw with Long Flat on Saturday in the Hastings League on the same afternoon.

The match was attended by current Knights captain Kurt Gidley and Knights legend Paul Harragon.

The score going in to half time was six-all in what was a very tough, muddy occasion. Kendall Blue, James Palmer said the game was very much a battle of the forwards.

"It was a pretty tough game" Palmer said.

"Both teams had a few pops at field goal but neither were successful".

Blues centre Arnold Turnbull was voted man of the match.
