What’s On This Weekend

THE weekend entertainment field is not overly strong leading in to the school holidays but dance lovers should enjoy the WPMA (Wauchope Port Macquarie Performing Arts) 2012 Winter Showcase at the Glasshouse this Saturday night (June 30) from 7pm.

More than 300 dancers from age 2 to adult have rehearsed all year for performances that will showcase their jazz, contemporary, ballet, tap and musical theatre talents.

Catch OMG! at Finnian’s Irish Tavern tomorrow from 8.30pm as it is the last time the lads will perform in this line-up.

Pity as they belt out some great cover versions and never fail to get the crowd going.

Polished local act Dazed performs at the Port City Bowling Club tomorrow from 8pm and another favourite is hometown foursome Ghost Road, who are at Finnian’s tonight.

As this is the fifth weekend in June there is only one market that operates year round and that’s The Port Macquarie Art Society at Hamilton Green on Hastings River Drive.

You can pick up a bargain on Sunday from 8am until 1pm on Sunday.
