Smooth as: Port Macquarie’s Stephen Lyons won a competition to taste Bundaberg Rum’s new Golden Reserve.

The Port Macquarie man entered an online competition recently to get the chance to taste the new range of rum.
The competition winner received an award, T-shirt and a 50ml tester bottle of the new Golden Reserve.
Mr Lyons said his favourite mix has always been the “old dark and stormys”.
“It’s definitely my favourite,” he said.
“That’s my Christmas drink, you normally can’t get it when you go out so I settle for rum and coke.”
He said he tried the new blend as suggested, straight, with ice and wasn’t disappointed.
“It was really, really nice,” he said.
“I normally wouldn’t drink rum straight but it was just super smooth and light.”
He said the only issue was not being sent enough to have a real good taste test.
