The 21st Century Australia Party founder and leader, Jamie McIntyre, confirmed the newly launched party intended to run a candidate in the electorate of Lyne.
Mr McIntyre holds independent Lyne MP Rob Oakeshott and independent New England MP Tony Windsor accountable for what he calls the worst government in the history of this country.
The party is pushing for a political system overhaul.
A 25-point policy document focuses the creation of a new 21st century political system which pushes for people to vote directly on major policy and for government spending to be put in the hands of an independent board.
21st Century Australia Party also supports a fast train network which Mr McIntyre said would have benefits for Port Macquarie.
Mr McIntyre said the party also had a strong education platform.
“The right education is key to future prosperity in this country,” he said.
Other policies include the removal of compulsory voting and elimination of state governments.
September will mark the first election test for the party.
The party submitted its Australian Electoral Commission party registration last week and aims to recruit 35,000-plus members.
There are almost 100 candidates awaiting pre-selection for lower house seats.
“We believe people want a choice and they want politicians that have real life experience outside of politics,” Mr McIntyre said.
Mr McIntyre, a motivational speaker and entrepreneur, has announced his candidacy against Tony Windsor and Barnaby Joyce for the seat of New England.
