TONIGHT a celebration will be hosted at Port City Bowling Club for all the volunteers from Sunday's Ironman Australia event.

It is expected to kick off at 5.30pm with drinks and pizza on offer.
Volunteer coordinator, Tiffany Baldwin, said there was about 2,400 volunteers on the day that helped with the smooth running of the event.
"With every large scale event like this one there's bound to be some minor hiccups," she said.
"But everything ran pretty smooth, it was a great effort by everyone involved.
"Tonight is about saying thanks to all those who gave their time."
The date for next year's event was also announced today, it will be run on May 4 2014.
