If you can spin a good yarn, make silly faces or do a trick that brings your mates undone, we want to hear about it.
Global Belly Laugh Day is on January 24 and we want everyone to share the fun.
Claudia Giblin-Smith is a Port Macquarie resident of two years who has always loved a good joke. A member of the Port Players, she appeared on stage last February as Mother Abbess in the Sound of Music. Her stirring rendition of Climb Every Mountain had audience members reaching for the tissues but her bubbly personality off stage had cast and crew in tears of laughter. The 43-year-old mother of two has a good sense of humour and laughs a lot: “I find other people hugely amusing,” she said. Her favourite joke is:
A man is driving around a van full of penguins and is in the biggest rush ever. He sees a man standing on the street and pulls up next to the guy. He says to him - “I’m in a dreadful hurry to get to a meeting. I’ll give you $200 to take these penguins to the zoo”.
The man agrees and off the van driver goes.
About an hour later, after he has finished his meeting, he is driving his van down the street and sees the man he paid walking along with the penguins trailing behind him. Furious, he pulls over and says to the man: “I gave you $200 to take these penguins to the zoo.” The man replies: I did, and now I am taking them to the movies.
