A Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) duty observer said while there are no storms associated with the warning there might be heavy rain activity.
The representative said residents were more likely to see isolated showers which may drop moderate to heavy falls in a short period of time.
The BOM website said the heavy rain could cause unexpected flash flooding.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.
Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
If you are trapped by flash flooding, seek refuge in the highest available place and ring 000 if you need rescue.
