PORT Macquarie's star sprinter Pentasia scored an impressive all the way win over 1100 metres at Rosehill on Saturday.
The Marc Quinn-rained mare, which won the Patinack Sprint on Port Macquarie cup day, ran a class record in winning the Benchmark 84.
And it gave star apprentice Jenny Duggan, a regular rider at Port Macquarie, her 100th career win.
Pentasia, given to Quinn to train by owner/breeder George Briscoe after languishing in a paddock at Scone, has now won six races with last Saturday's win following successive seconds at Rosehill and Warwick Farm.
The win took her earnings past $156,000.
Quinn has his sights on a similar race over the same distance at Rosehill on two weeks' time.
"She can have an easy week with a bit of swimming in the river and we will throw a saddle on her and give her a gallop next Saturday," Quinn said.
"She is super fit and I just need to keep her ticking over."
