Home buyers can head to the hills

FIRST homes at Sovereign Hills go on sale this weekend. A display village by HomeWorld aims to woo buyers of house-and-land packages to the estate 8km west of Port Macquarie.

Sales are now possible after a freeze on house-and-land package sales by landowners Lewis Land Group was lifted last month.

Manager of HomeWorld’s Port Macquarie Branch Marc Minor said both his company and the builders had been given the all clear by the landowner to sell.

Homes would again be offered for sale from this weekend.

A promotional campaign, also to start this weekend, will push a new display village at the site.

Two houses in the village are complete and another six homes, plus a sales office, will be built by June, Mr Minor said.

“We’re basically saying we’re right to go now, people can move in now,” he said.

Promotions include newspaper advertising and a website which has “25 fresh and innovative designs” coming soon to the Port Macquarie site.

Six builders have committed to build homes in the village, including Cavalier Homes, McDonald Jones, Perry Homes, Pycon Homes and Constructions and Sorensen and Caldon Builders.

Two more – Sekisui and Coral Homes – have announced their intention to join the group.

Packages are being offered for about $410,000.

An official opening of the display village is planned for September.
