A PRE-dawn deluge flooded roads and caused peak hour traffic jams across the Hastings this morning.
Some 100mm of rain fell on Port Macquarie up to 9am this morning.
But the Bureau of Meteorology since has called off a severe weather warning for the region.
Today's downpour caused havoc for drivers, homes and businesses.
Central, Jindalee and Belah roads in the town’s industrial area were closed for some time. Hill Street was awash before 8am.
Port Macquarie State Emergency Service crews were called to help 23 times in the four hours from 6am.
Crews delivered sandbags to homes, redirected water and rescued three people from cars in the CBD.

Two homes’ roofs needed to be covered by tarpaulins.
Operations officer Alison Richards warned people not to drive through floodwater.
"You just don't know what the road is like underneath," Miss Richards said.
Those who needed sandbags should collect them from Gordon Street, Miss Richards said, and make sure drains drains are clear.
Meanwhile, up to 80mm of rain fell in the valley upstream of Kindee Bridge, west of Port Macquarie, overnight.
Minor flooding of the Hastings River was expected at the bridge when the river peaked at midday.
Weatherzone reported heavy rain also is falling in the Camden Haven to our south, causing flash flooding.
River heights there are expected to remain under minor flood level at this stage, but more rain is predicted tonight.
