FIVE candidates have been confirmed to contest the seat of Lyne but Bob Waldron will not be one of them.
Yesterday Mr Waldron told the Port News he would stand for the Christian Democratic Party at the August 21 poll.
But Mr Waldron's name was not submitted by the party when they lodged their final nominations with the Australian Electoral Commission this week.
Taree independent Barry Wright is the fifth and final candidate.
The electorate's returning officer Vicki Frost declared the final nominations in Taree today.
Ms Frost then conducted a draw to determine the order the candidates' names will appear on the ballot paper.
Incumbent Rob Oakeshott is in the top position with Australian Labor Party candidate Dr Fred Lips next.
The Nationals' David Gillespie was the third candidate drawn out with Mr Wright fourth.
The Greens' Ian Oxenford's name will be the last to appear on the ballot paper.
