Adam is bringing his moto-mania to town

ADAM Jones has never been one to sit at a desk and take orders.

So it is just as well the American resident chose life as a motorbike stunt rider.

The 23-year-old's adrenalin habit has had him in the air more times than he can remember ? and crashing down to earth just as often.

Last year Jones was named the 2007 International Rider of the Year.

This year he is on his way to Port Macquarie with crazy bike friends in tow.

The Crusty Demons will bring their heart-stopping action to town next week at the Port Macquarie Regional Sports Stadium.

Sold-out shows have marked the popular tour as it has worked its way through Tasmania, Victoria and now NSW.

This is not the first time Jones has visited Australia and, for him, the 12-week-tour means seeing plenty of Aussie countryside.

"I love coming out to Australia and it is nice to go back and visit some of the same places," he said.

After seven years on the race scene, an injury allowed Jones to re-assess his racing career.

He decided it was time to have more fun and set himself the goal of winning the coveted International Freestyle Motocross Association (IFMA) X-Game gold medal.

Last year, the young adrenalin junky made this a reality and today he is considered one of the top freestyle cross riders in the world.

While Jones said his mum had little say in his chosen career, he admitted she loved watching him on the bike.
