Later this week, a Senate committee will hold the first hearing of an inquiry into the effectiveness of the annual NAPLAN tests. The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA), which develops the NAPLAN tests, has made a submission, as have dozens of organisations, schools and individuals.
